The Old Kingdom: The pharaohs of the Old Kingdoms kept peace and trade with Nubia. The Old Kingdom sent merchants to the coast of the Mediterranean sea to find wood for building houses and furniture. Later, the Old Kingdom's govorment challenged the powers of the pharaoh's government and Egypt crumbled. The Old Kingdom was called the Pyramid Age. Pharoahs were treated like gods on earth. During this time only pharoahs were buried in Pyramids.
The Middle Kingdom: The rulers of the Middle Kingdom brought order and reunited the country again. The Middle Kingom's pharaohs spent Egypt's money on public works instead of battles. They built buildings and farming projects which gave them food and infrastructure. Later, Egypt lost control and lost to foreign invaders. During this age pharoahs were not buried in pyramids, but were buried in very well hidden tombs.

The New Kingdom:The New Kingdom started in 1567 B.C. The first pharoah wanted to start an empire. Egypt made gigantic armies of soldiers and put some of them on chariots. They had swords and armor which made them unbeatable and they became a world power. King Tutankhamen was a ruler during this time period. He ruled as a child and he died at 18 years of age. All pharoahs were buried in the valley of the kings.
